We live in Virginia and after a number of trips to the San Diego area decided we were ready to invest in a property. We were fortunate to get connected to Wendy and had an excellent experience. Quite literally Wendy saved us huge amounts of money. Let me explain. First, we worked with Wendy to find prospective properties. We outlined what we were looking for and our budget. She sent us information on numerous properties and we worked on a short list for a trip to the area. During a very short visit (3 days) we visited a wide range of properties and decided to go with one. We had to leave for VA and Wendy handled all of the back and forth for offers. Once we had an offer accepted (after a number of negotiation cycles) Wendy handled coordination of all of the paperwork and connected us with a recommended mortgage company (which was very good to work with as well). Wendy also helped us with advertising for rental of the property (it was an investment property - we did not live in it) and execution of a lease. She did a great job and we would (and plan to) work with her again - but that is all of the normal stuff. Here’s where she saved us. Two years in, the tenants car caught fire in the garage and totaled the property. It made the evening news in San Diego, in fact. That started an experience we had never had before. One that we had to navigate from 3000 miles away. Wendy was there every step of the way to help. She met with the fire department, interviewed potential contractors, and helped us coordinate throughout the process to repair the property. That process took 9 months. It turns out that it was very successful for us. At the end of that process we had a very valuable property and decided to sell it. Wendy did that for us as well and handled everything. We never even considered having to make a trip for that. Wendy always had our best interests in mind. There are people you meet in life and business that are “keepers”. Wendy is one. We met Wendy during her open house for her listing in La Jolla. I was there as a Broker Agent with my husband looking for an investment property. We liked the property and were impressed to work with Wendy who was representing the Seller to come to an agreed purchase price.
